The Who perform QUADROPHENIA Live

The Who have been one of my favourite bands for many years. Even so, I had never really listened to their concept album Quadrophenia before. Regardless, I still knew I had to attend their show when it was announced they would be touring, and it was definitely a special night!
Their opening act, Vintage Trouble, have received quite a bit of buzz around them, and they certainly deserve it! The band were great and put on a fantastic performance! It seemed that most of the audience was unfamiliar with them; Vintage Trouble having had their breakout being across the pond. By the end of their set though, the whole of the Air Canada Centre was on their feet applauding this great band. Their sound is very roots-soul-blues rock but the band are still able to remain relevant as well.
Next, the remaining members of The Who powered through their classic album! For having only been a minor hit, the audience seemed to appreciate the material and were rewarded with an encore of greatest hits. Quadrophenia is definitely an underrated album, being a classic of standards similar to that of The Wall. It has definitely been cemented as a top album in my lists. The Who still know how to put on a rock concert too. Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey continue to be great musicians, putting on a superb spectacle of arena standards. The Who remain rock legends.
